Education
Dr. Carlson attended Gustavus Adolphus College for four years receiving a B.S. degree in chemistry. He worked as a chemist for an oil company for four years before entering dental school. He received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry.
Dr. Carlson took his orthodontic specialty training at the University of Minnesota, Division of Orthodontics in a two year residency.
He has attended many continuing education seminars with a special interest in jaw and bite related problems.

Personal Interests
Dr. Carlson and his wife Vada have one daughter and three grandchildren. Painting in watercolor along with golf and fishing occupy his free time.
